Hello from gloriously sunny Norfolk! Wouldn’t it be a fabulous day to be getting married? I’m so excited that wedding season is just around the corner!
I recently exhibited my cakes at Hunters Hall Wedding Fayre. I took several different cakes to exhibit but by far the most popular has been the ‘Naked’ Wedding cake….It has layers of rich buttery sponge, soft buttercream icing, draped with fresh fruit and vintage style flowers topped off with some beautiful hand painted cake bunting courtesy of Aime at ‘For Keeps’.
The Wedding cakes, cupcakes and favours looked perfect in the rustic setting at Hunters Hall, near Dereham, Norfolk. The barn has huge vaulted ceilings, exposed brick and flint walls, beams and old farm machinery (oh, and a boat dangling from the ceiling!) and the attached marquee is big enough to invite everyone you know along to dance the night away.
I met lots of lovely brides to be, their future husbands and families, I’m thrilled that so many of the couples I met have asked me to make their Wedding cakes.
